In 2023, Alice won the Paragon Award from the Doris Duke Foundation. We used the prize to fund our 2024 lab retreat to New Orleans, including dinner at Alice's favorite restaurant — Commander's Palace. All was not oysters and gumbo, though: we managed to write a whole lab handbook on our retreat.
