Curated Disease-Modifying Trials
This is Alice's working list of disease-modifying Phase II/III trials in Parkinson's disease. She uses this to keep track of what's happening in the therapeutic development space.
Manually curated active Phase II/III interventional trials with disease-modification potential
Search & Curation Methods
Last curated
Disease-Modifying List (this tab)
Searched ClinicalTrials.gov using terms Parkinson disease / Parkinson's disease. Filtered to active trials designated Phase II or III and Interventional. Results were then manually curated to retain only those with plausible disease-modifying potential.
Weekly Monitoring (automated · Mondays)
Every Monday at midnight, ClinicalTrials.gov is queried automatically (same filters). New trials are flagged for manual review to assess disease-modification potential. Trials that have ended are identified and the list updated with their outcome.
A separate Total List of all active Phase II/III interventional PD trials, unfiltered, is downloaded weekly as an internal reference.

Atypical Parkinsonisms
tracked separately — not counted in the Disease-Modifying list
Trials in MSA, PSP, CBD and DLB. The council's remit under PL 118-66 covers the atypical parkinsonisms alongside PD, and parity for them was a recurring public-comment theme — but these trials enrol non-PD populations, so they are kept beside the curated Disease-Modifying list rather than mixed into it. The weekly search does not monitor this section; entries here are reviewed by hand.
